Movement and absence III Simulation of a road trip by bus, the camera focuses on "sculptures" that resist abandonment and time. There are three audio channels with different contents, you can choose what to hear or not to hear. The first source contains silences captured from movies, like spaces without dialogue or music, creating a paradox of the audible soundscape and the visible - imaginary through the video; the second source is a mix of segments of romantic pop songs from the seventies and eighties, referring to the nostalgic cliché of the road and popular music; and finally, the third source is a talk by the Mexican writer and philosopher Leonardo Da Jandra, talking about strong topics of modern society. Image and sound create a powerful and confusing mixture, which is what the series Movement and Absence explores: synchrony or dissociation between audio and visual elements.
